Competition Timeline

Applications
IMAL is announced globally and applications open to Asian-identifying leather people worldwide. Program rules, judging criteria, and submission requirements are published.

Orientation
Contestants attend a mandatory virtual briefing covering contest values, scoring, technical standards, and assignment expectations.

Content Collection
Contestants submit a 4–6 minute pre-recorded video demonstrating leadership, vision, and community impact. Videos are scored prior to the live event.

Interview
Each contestant participates in a live virtual interview with the judging panel. Judges assess communication, leadership mindset, community awareness, and the ability to articulate impact beyond personal presentation.
